SPUD Wins Innovation Award at Zero Waste Conference
SPUD.ca, one of earliest Renewal Funds portfolio companies, was recognized last week for their reusable packaging program by Zero Waste. SPUD created a reusable takeout container program to provide their customers with a sustainable alternative to single-use packaging while demonstrating a waste reduction model that is more effective than recyclable and compostable packaging.
The program is exemplary of how SPUD takes proactive responsibility not only for their products but also for their packaging, and resulting waste.
